Guiding Principles and Values
At The Colorado Health Foundation, we are guided by the following values:
- Commitment to the community
- Integrity, transparency and accountability
- Trust and reliability
- Leadership and initiative
- Partnering with others
- Professionalism in all we do
- Encourage and incorporate diversity
We strive for high standards of excellence and professionalism
in everything we do. In spite of the tremendous need for health
services, we aren’t
able to fund every idea that comes our way. We must be disciplined,
focused and strategic in our efforts in order to make the greatest
possible difference with the community dollars in our trust. Partnership
is central to our mission. Improving the health and health care
of Coloradans is a worthy vision, but one that only can be realized
by working together with many partners.
We encourage your feedback and evaluation of our work. On this
Web site, we will report not only the success stories, but what
we’ve learned from
projects that may have fallen short of our expectations and yours.
We’re
available and we’re listening.
The word “transparency” describes an organization’s
commitment to accountability and its willingness to reveal the
underpinnings of its business practices. To that end, we offer
the following links:
We take our stewardship of public dollars seriously and work to earn and maintain
your trust. Measurable outcomes, grantee evaluations, and self evaluation are
central to our grantmaking mission and requirements.
