The Colorado Health Foundation does not provide health insurance for individuals. However, we work with a number of organizations that may be able to help. Below are some options for Coloradans who cannot afford private insurance but do not qualify for public insurance programs such as Medicaid.

Cover Colorado was created by the Colorado Legislature to provide medical insurance for eligible Coloradans who, because of a preexisting medical condition, cannot get coverage from private insurers. It also serves as the state's plan for individuals who are eligible under the HIPPA.

Kaiser Connections provides low-cost health care coverage for families who otherwise could not afford health care. Full Kaiser Permanente benefits are available at greatly reduced rates for up to 24 months to eligible individuals and families. For an appointment or more information, call (303) 239-7120, (303) 239-7144 or (303) 239-7042.

The Colorado Community Health Network serves the uninsured and underinsured who make 200 percent or less of the Federal Poverty Level. The amount you pay for services is based on an assessment of your income and assets. The network does not cover the entire state, but it includes 15 different health centers throughout Colorado.

The Colorado Indigent Care Program provides discounted health care services to the uninsured and underinsured who make 250% or less of the Federal Poverty Level.
