Advocacy Partners
The Foundation supports advocacy partners that work to advance the organization's community outcomes in Healthy Living, Health Coverage and Health Care. Here's a sampling of some of our advocacy partners and their work:
- Colorado HEAL Coalition — The Healthy Eating Active Living (HEAL) Coalition brings together a broad range of organizations committed to improving health outcomes in Colorado through state, federal and local policy change. LiveWell Colorado leads the steering committee, which also includes the Foundation, the Colorado Children's Campaign and Kaiser Permanente.
- Colorado Association for School-Based Health Care — Established in 1996, CASBHC advocates for health care in schools for Colorado's children and adolescents. The organization's vision is that Colorado's children will have quality, integrated school health services that improve health status, optimize academic achievement and enhance well-being.
- Boomers Leading Change in Health — This pilot initiative recruits, trains and places a corps of volunteers – ages 50+ – as health system navigators, community health workers and advocates for improving access to health care for all.
- Colorado Consumer Health Initiative — CCHI focuses on advocacy work to achieve access to barrier-free, quality, affordable health care for all Coloradans. The organization is uniquely positioned to influence and help ensure that the united consumer voice helps shape policies to move Colorado forward.
