For Horst, it’s rewarding to spend his days helping others. He has been working in nonprofit health care since 1995 and at the Foundation for the last nine years. Horst enjoys collaborating with amazingly talented, dedicated and genuinely caring people who take the greatest pleasure helping those with the greatest need. He knows that when individuals come together with this common mission, so much can be accomplished.
His role at the Foundation is an interesting mix of legal, business and educational work. Not only does he assist our program officers with their myriad contracts, Horst also supports our medical faculty in teaching the next generation of Colorado’s primary care physicians about team-based, person-focused health management for our varied communities across the state.
Horst awakens every day enthused about living and working in this amazing state of ours. The beautiful, snow-capped Rocky Mountains take his breath away. He can’t decide which is his favorite: Colorado’s winter snow, autumn leaves or summer hikes. So instead he chooses hockey season!
In warm weather, Horst is always up for a motorcycle ride through the mountains. And every day, this doting dog owner is up for a walk with his best buddies.
