Community Programs

For more than 10 years, The Colorado Health Foundation has provided resources and support to direct care services that are meeting the health care needs of our community.

Johnson Adult Day Program
Since 1996, the Johnson Center has provided daytime programs for adults in the Denver area living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, the after effects of stroke, and other physical or mental impairments. About 14,000 people visit the Johnson Adult Day Program each year for adult day activities, health programs and caregiver support. We are proud to support this vital resource for Colorado’s rapidly growing elderly population.

The Lactation Program
The Lactation Program in Denver helps families overcome breastfeeding difficulties and is one of a few facilities that addresses breastfeeding problems after mothers are discharged from the hospital. The Lactation Program also educates health professions in the clinical management of routine breastfeeding and lactation difficulties.
