DENVER — The Colorado Health Foundation has announced the promotion of one of its longtime program officers to the position of vice president of Philanthropy. Kelly Dunkin, former senior program officer for the Foundation’s Health Coverage area, will lead the Foundation’s philanthropy staff in their work investing in nonprofits throughout the state.
“Kelly was chosen because of her leadership capacity and her wealth of knowledge as well as her passion for our mission, her creative spirit and her seemingly endless energy,” said Anne Warhover, president and CEO of the Foundation. “I am personally very excited to have Kelly as a partner and have tremendous confidence in her ability to lead our philanthropy team into the future.”
Dunkin brings nearly nine years of experience in Colorado nonprofits to her new role and has served for more than two years as the senior program officer for the Foundation’s Health Coverage area, which works to ensure that all Coloradans have access to health insurance coverage. “The best part of my time at the Foundation has been being a part of our exponential growth, establishing the vision and solidifying our strategies to make Colorado the healthiest state in the nation,” Dunkin said. “I have loved working with our incredible staff and community partners and look forward to carrying those relationships forward to the benefit of a healthier Colorado.”
