Kyle Rojas Legleiter

Senior Director of Policy Advocacy

Kyle’s work in policy always starts with people. His first experiences in public health were as an undergraduate, where he volunteered with a group of campus student health educators who provided rape crisis counseling and sexual assault prevention education. Since then, he has become invested in the issues that broadly impact health and has worked in public health for the past 14 years.

Born in Colorado, Kyle has lived in 17 different places in the state, which has given him unique insight into the myriad policy issues that affect communities across the state. At the Foundation since 2012, Kyle is essentially a problem solver, working with state and local communities to address issues that allow Coloradans to be the healthiest they can be.

A past president of the Colorado Public Health Association, Kyle lives and breathes his passion for public health and policy. Ultimately, his goal is to ensure that policymakers think about what is good for the health of the people they serve.

When he is not working, Kyle enjoys walking his dog, Lamar, or doing any of the “typical” Colorado activities — competing in triathlons, camping in Picketwire Canyon or simply enjoying the Colorado sunshine. For Kyle, though, a healthy life is all about balance — he admits to a serious sweet tooth and a love for obnoxious pop songs that get stuck in your head.
