Stan oversees the Foundation’s $2.5 billion investment portfolio of financial assets. Prior to joining the Foundation in 2009, he was the Executive Director of the Office of Technology Development at Boston University where he built and managed an organization that helped faculty members commercialize technologies arising from their research. Between 1990 and 2005, Stan was the Senior Director of Qwest Asset Management Company where he held oversight and management positions in investment portfolio asset allocation, alternative investments, global equity, and strategy research and development. Prior to 1990, he worked for eleven years in scientific research, primarily at Bell Laboratories.
To Stan, the theory and practice of investing financial assets are both challenging and exciting. But what’s most meaningful about his current job is that the returns generated on the Foundation’s financial investment portfolio go to improving the health of people throughout Colorado.
Stan enjoys snow skiing, playing golf and hiking. He and his wife spend a lot of time in the mountains in every season of the year
