Project Description
Ensure equitable access to mental health services for Latina mothers via Alma, a Latina-led 2Gen initiative, using trained peer compa�eras who provide culturally responsive support based on behavioral activation (BA), an evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy that has been proven effective in supporting recovery from depression. This is evident in Alma's annual evaluations, where mothers show significant reductions in depression, anxiety and stress and improved parental sense of competence.
