Lisa Toyne

Program Assistant

Lisa Toyne is a Senior Administrative Assistant with a passion for supporting others and facilitating their success. With 12 years of experience in administrative roles, she thrives in behind-the-scenes work and finds fulfillment in uplifting people and helping them reach their full potential.

At the Foundation, Lisa describes her role as administrative support for Team Pine. Her primary focus is to ensure the success of the team and the grantees they work with, contributing to the Foundation’s smooth operation and achievement of its mission.

Lisa’s dedication to the Foundation’s mission is deeply rooted in her personal experiences. Coming from a single-income, working-class family, she witnessed the challenges that arise from a lack of resources and inadequate access to health care. Tragically, both of her parents passed away due to chronic health issues resulting from a life lived without sufficient support. These experiences have fueled her commitment to preventing such outcomes for others. Lisa firmly believes every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive and lead a healthy life, with access to essential resources like food, shelter, clean water and health care.

A lifelong Colorado resident, Lisa has a strong connection to the state. She was born at St. Luke’s Hospital and has cherished the natural beauty of the mountains throughout her life. Her healthiest habit is maintaining a regular yoga and meditation practice, which nurtures her physical, mental and emotional well-being. To unwind and relax, Lisa indulges in scrolling through YouTube shorts, allowing her mind to decompress and enjoy some downtime.

For Lisa, life is at its best when she is in the mountains, immersed in nature’s awe-inspiring beauty. Her love for plants led her to become a horticulturist, filling her home with greenery and nurturing her deep connection to the natural world. Coming from a background in urban farming and conservation, Lisa finds solace, inspiration and a sense of belonging in nature’s embrace.

Lisa’s educational background includes a 500-hour certification as a yoga instructor. She values continuous learning and growth, particularly in the field of yoga, which allows her to promote wellness and mindfulness. As a member of the Colorado Native Plant Society and the Yoga Alliance, Lisa actively engages with professional organizations that align with her interests and values.
